Introducing Gorillaz third studio album: Plastic Beach

I listened to the whole album this morning on my commute. The only momentum keeping me going was that it was nice to hear new music from a great band. Following the introduction track is, “Welcome to the World of the Plastic Beach” this is a good song with guest vocals from Snoop D-O-(Double G). Another notable guest lyricist would be on track #12 “Sweepstakes” which is that of Mos Def.
For my taste this album fell a bit soft, I wanted to a more deep hitting barage of music. What they released is a pitter patter of gentle tunes… Oh well I’m seeing them live in Coachella anyways!
